Paid Search/SEM Specialist (Freelance) 

 

First Position Digital is growing and we are looking for a Paid Search/SEM professional who wants to be part of the exciting growth of our start-up company.  As a freelance team member, you will be responsible for auditing, planning, building, executing, and optimizing client-paid Search Engine Marketing (SEM) campaigns.  We are looking for a team member that has a proven track record for developing and delivering positive client business outcomes via SEM programs.  This opportunity is project-based but can become a full-time role in the future as business warrants and if there is mutual interest. 

Role Responsibilities

  • Plan SEM campaigns that aim to drive desired client outcomes, typically as part of a larger paid digital media strategy 

  • Implement and manage pacing and performance of client SEM budgets up to $300k a month

  • Deliver reporting data and develop and present insights, providing strategic recommendations for future success

  • Participate in the development of client presentations and in client meetings (as needed) to share SEM expertise

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years as PPC Manager/SEM marketing manager

  • Experience using SEM research tools such as SpyFu and SEMRush

  • Strong understanding of Google product suite and how it is utilized with SEM campaigns

  • Experience participating in client-facing discussions as SEM lead

  • Strong presentation skills (MSFT PowerPoint and/or Google Slides)

  • Proficient in MSFT Excel

  • Agency experience is a plus

  • Strong copywriting skills

  • Experience with project management tools a plus

  • Prompt response times

  • Must be comfortable using Zoom and/or Google Hangout virtual meeting software when warranted

  • Weekly check-in meetings with the FPD team to discuss current campaigns and projects

  • 10-15 hours a week to start

  • Expected Availability: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM CT to 5:00 PM CT

Social Media Specialist (Freelance) 

 

First Position Digital is growing and we are looking for a Paid Social Media professional who wants to be part of the exciting growth of our start-up company.  As a freelance team member, you will be responsible for defining, building, executing, analyzing, and optimizing client-paid social media advertising campaigns.  We are looking for a team member that has a proven track record for delivering positive client business outcomes via social media programs.  This opportunity is project-based but can become a full-time role in the future as business warrants and if there is mutual interest. 

Role Responsibilities

  • Plan paid social media campaigns that aim to drive desired client outcomes, typically as part of a larger paid digital media strategy 

  • Manage pacing and performance of paid social budgets up to $300k a month

  • Deliver reporting data and develop and present insights, providing strategic recommendations for future success

  • Stay up-to-date on social ad platforms' new ad formats/opportunities (Facebook/Insta, Pinterest, Twitter, Snap, LinkedIn, etc)

  • Participate in the development of client presentations and in client meetings (as needed) to share Social Media expertise

Qualifications

  • 2 to 3 years as Social Media Specialist/Social Media Manager planning, implementing and managing paid social media campaigns for brands across multiple verticals

  • Hands-on-keyboard experience with Facebook, Pinterest, Snapchat, LinkedIn, Twitter digital ad platforms

  • Agency experience is a plus

  • Experience participating in client-facing discussions as Social Media lead

  • Strong presentation skills (PowerPoint and/or Google Slides)
